The Snowy Owl (Bubo scandiacus) plays an essential role in controlling rodent populations and are actually one of the few owl species that hunt during the day. Habitat loss and decreasing prey populations due to climate change threatened this species' population. Since their primary habitat is the arctic, global warming and increasing temperatures could cause this species to lose their breeding grounds. During migration, planes, turbines, and cars cause collisions with these great birds as well.
In support, 20% of net profits from this shirt will be donated to the American Bird Conservancy.
